AC Shadows Introduces Unexpected Attack on Titan Crossover for Thanksgiving
In a surprising partnership that defies usual expectations, Ubisoft has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Disclosed
According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious confrontation draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of forbidden practices and monstrous transformations echo through the shadows." The narrative presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a secret group.
The mission concentrates on "strange experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Changes
The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Additional Features
Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to multiple objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-inspired attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe

- Survey Corps vehicle
Latest Free Story Addition
This update also adds the game's latest complimentary story content, titled "A Puzzlement." This humorous mission teams Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange distinctive abilities: Naoe debuts a theatrical interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns subduing stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Mystery" also contains a new environmental puzzle that may finally clarify some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
