“That was unfortunate. It was essentially an interaction with our fans out in front of us,” Jones stated during a radio appearance. “There was a large group of Cowboys fans—not New York fans, Cowboys fans. The whole venue was brimming with enthusiasm for the Dallas team.”
He further emphasized that the gesture was completely unintentional, happening amid the excitement following the team’s final touchdown. “I just showed the incorrect digit,” he noted. “It was inadvertently done. I’m not kidding. If you want to call it accidental, you can. However, it got resolved pretty quick.”
