It's a challenge for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have been successfully scaled.

This is the team that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, plus an additional six T20 titles, and once went over three years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, the ones sought by the peak baggers, are what's still available for a squad that has achieved everything.

That it took as late as Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase exceeding 300, taking back their record for the largest in the female 50-over format, is, frankly, a compliment to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over the past 50 years.

It's difficult for their hitters to possess a record if never given the opportunity.

Ultimately, the outcome of Australia giving up 330 runs was skipper Alyssa Healy getting an opportunity to create her newest gem.

Then best known as the young family member of celebrated previous Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she debuted in 2010 after her nation didn't secure either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups conducted earlier and has experienced everything through 15 trophy-laden years since.

A T20 championship victory arrived three months after her bow and seven world titles have resulted from 10 tries across formats.

At the following one-day championship in New Zealand, Healy made 170 against England in the final and was awarded tournament MVP. She ensured her country would not fall short again.

Many contend the argument supporting the pressure of a final. Different voices suggest with the challenge that comes when confronting a historic chase and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What's clear is this century was considerably tougher to predict.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 came as she led the batting statistics, but this performance was preceded by six games in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had failed to pass 30.

"If you've been watching me in training, it's been a disappointing period because I feel like I lacked timing at all," stated Healy.

"But once you enter the playing area, your competitive instincts activate and you completely engage with the match."

Healy's competitive nature has consistently been her major advantage - and an invaluable trait in replacing legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, fallen to the 22-year-old seamer in every game, but this time it merely gave Healy's motivation.

"A chance to take the field and lock in a contest with her and just have a bit of fun that way, somewhat inspired me," said Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 deliveries - her fastest at the World Cup - and her hundred in 84 as she attacked short-pitched balls, scoring 21 fours and three sixes.

By the time she was dismissed her side needed 66 more at one run per ball - a manageable total now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Chasing 330 runs is uncharted waters so I am glad we have the belief to achieve that now," stated Healy further.

"Ideally we won't need to do it another time but, should it happen, we are confident we can achieve it."

These statements will be the ultimate thing rival teams at this championship want to hear.

In recent days a feeling they will win from any position has only strengthened - this triumph coming after win against Pakistan by 107 run margin despite being 76-7 at one point.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a meeting with traditional opponents England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final place may likely be confirmed.

It was at that stage they left the prior year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - an encounter Healy couldn't play because of damaged tissue in her foot as she led her country for the inaugural occasion at a major tournament.

So great is her will, she subsequently stated she wanted to have participated despite the injury.

Yet even as she later admitted those fitness problems have pushed back plans to retire, this championship is expected to be her final tournament as skipper in one-day cricket and she is yet to win an international tournament as leader.
